Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information RadarPulse collects, how we use and share it, the third-party processors involved, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the website at radarpulse.io and the services offered through it (the "Service").
Effective date: 20 June 2026. This is a draft pending legal review; bracketed items are placeholders the operator will complete before publication.
1. Who we are (controller)
The Service is operated by [RadarPulse legal entity name] ("RadarPulse", "we", "us" or "our"), which is the data controller for the personal information described here. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at [privacy@radarpulse.io, owner to confirm].
2. Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address and a password. We never store your password in plain text: it is stored as a scrypt hash.
- Your settings and activity in the app. Your watchlist, alert preferences, and similar in-product settings, plus paper-trading activity (which uses virtual funds only).
- Usage and device data. Information generated as you use the Service, such as pages and features used, approximate location derived from IP address, IP address, browser and device type, and timestamps. This includes server logs used for security and reliability.
- Payment information. When you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe. RadarPulse does not collect or store your full card number or other sensitive card details. We may receive limited billing-related information from Stripe (such as subscription status, plan, the last four digits or card brand, and country) to manage your account.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe to our email newsletter, we collect your email address and subscription status. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.
- Communications. If you contact support, we keep the content of your messages and our replies.
3. Cookies, localStorage and similar technologies
The Service uses browser localStorage and cookies (or similar local storage) to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and settings (such as your watchlist and language), and operate core features. These are primarily strictly necessary and functional. We do not sell your data, and the Service is designed to run without third-party advertising trackers. Where required by law, we will obtain consent for any non-essential cookies; you can also control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some may affect how the Service works. [Cookie banner / consent mechanism, owner to confirm whether required for your audience.]
4. Sub-processors and third parties
We rely on the following service providers ("sub-processors") to operate the Service. Each processes personal data only as needed to provide its service and under its own privacy and security commitments:
- Stripe: payment processing and subscription billing.
- Resend: transactional and newsletter email delivery.
- Finnhub: market data.
- Financial Modeling Prep (FMP): market and company data.
- Netlify: hosting and delivery of the website.
- Railway: hosting of the backend application and data store.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: optional bot-protection on forms (when enabled).
- Plausible Analytics: cookieless, privacy-first page and custom-event analytics, including anonymized JavaScript error reports.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, to protect the rights, safety and security of RadarPulse and others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets (with notice where required).
5. How we use your information
- to provide, operate, maintain and secure the Service and your account;
- to process subscriptions, trials, renewals and payments (via Stripe);
- to personalise your experience, such as your watchlist and alerts;
- to send service and transactional emails (for example, account, billing and security messages) and, if you opt in, the newsletter;
- to provide support and respond to your requests;
- to monitor, prevent and address fraud, abuse, security incidents and technical issues; and
- to comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
6. Legal bases (EEA/UK: GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on these legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Service you sign up for and process payments); legitimate interests (to secure, maintain and improve the Service and prevent abuse, balanced against your rights); consent (for the newsletter and any non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time); and legal obligation (for example, tax and accounting records).
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access the personal data we hold about you, to request correction or deletion, to object to or restrict certain processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise many of these directly in the app (for example, updating your settings or unsubscribing) or by contacting us at [privacy@radarpulse.io, owner to confirm]. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. EEA/UK users also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA). California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used and shared, to request access to and deletion of their personal information, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To make a request, contact us at the address above.
8. Email and unsubscribe
We send service and transactional emails related to your account, billing and security; these are part of using the Service and are generally not optional while you hold an account. The newsletter is optional, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email or by contacting us. Newsletter emails are delivered through Resend.
9. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and afterwards only as long as necessary for the purposes described here, to comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, subject to records we are required or permitted to retain. [Specific retention periods, owner to confirm.]
10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. Passwords are stored using scrypt hashing (never in plain text), traffic is served over HTTPS, and payment card data is handled by Stripe rather than stored by us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and keep your credentials confidential.
11. International data transfers
RadarPulse and its sub-processors may store and process personal data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms) where required by law. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed in those locations. [Transfer mechanism details, owner/legal to confirm.]
12. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Effective date" above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
14. Contact
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at [privacy@radarpulse.io, owner to confirm], operated by [RadarPulse legal entity name]. You can also reach the RadarPulse team through the in-app support options.
