Skubal is the back-to-back American League Cy Young winner, and he joins a rotation that already led the majors in ERA, alongside Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow and Shohei Ohtani.

The debut

The first run came on a Dansby Swanson home run in the third. The second scored in the sixth on a high chopper from Nico Hoerner.
